Ingredients

  • 5 oz canned tuna in water drained very well
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3 tablespoons hot salsa your favorite brand
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Fork or mixer
  • Spatula
  • Serving Dish

Method

  1. Begin by opening the canned tuna and draining it thoroughly. This step is crucial to avoid a soggy dip.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and drained tuna. Use a fork or mixer to blend them together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the hot salsa, mixing well to incorporate all the flavors. Adjust the amount of salsa based on your spice preference.
  4. Taste the mixture and add salt and pepper as desired. Remember, you can always add more, so start with a little and adjust.
  5. If you have time, let the dip chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
  6. Transfer the Tuna Dip to your serving dish and enjoy it with your favorite chips, veggies, or crackers.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Consider swapping half the cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter dip.
  • Add fresh herbs for an extra burst of flavor.
