Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups frozen spinach
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1 medium ripe banana peeled, previously frozen in chunks is ideal
  • 1 cup berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a favorite berry (optional)
  • 1 cup milk (cows, almond, soy, coconut, kefir, or horchata)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste sweetener (sugar, agave, stevia, honey, maple syrup, or Medjool dates)

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula
  • Glass or mason jar

Method
 

  1. In your blender, add the 2 cups of frozen spinach, 1 cup of frozen pineapple chunks, 1 cup of frozen mango chunks, 1 medium ripe banana, and any optional berries you desire.
  2. Pour in 1 cup of your choice of milk. This can be cow's milk or any plant-based alternative like almond or coconut milk.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for flavor and sweeten to taste with your preferred sweetener. Start with a little and adjust according to your taste preference.
  4. Blend all the ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy. You might need to stop and scrape down the sides to ensure everything blends evenly.
  5. Once blended to your desired consistency, pour the smoothie into a glass or a mason jar, and enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • For a dairy-free option, use almond or coconut milk.
  • Add a scoop of protein powder for an extra nutritional boost.
  • Feel free to substitute the fruits based on your preference or availability.
