Taco Bell Wontons

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup taco meat cooked and seasoned
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
  • 24 pieces wonton wrappers
  • to taste dipping sauces salsa, guacamole, sour cream, etc.

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Cooking spray or oil
  • Pastry brush or fingers
  • Oven or frying pan

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked taco meat and shredded Mexican cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place it on a clean surface. Lightly moisten the edges with water.
  3. Place about a tablespoon of the taco meat and cheese mixture in the center of the wonton.
  4. Fold the wonton in half diagonally and press the edges together to seal.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat oil in a frying pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Serve with your choice of dipping sauces and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to customize with your favorite seasonings or ingredients.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Wontons can be frozen before cooking for up to 3 months.
