Ingredients

For the Pizza:
  • 1 piece Flatout Flatbread Pizza Crust Rustic White Artisan Thin
  • 6 ounces uncooked 99% fat-free ground turkey
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons dried taco seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons canned chopped mild green chiles
  • ½ cup fat-free refried beans
  • ½ cup reduced-fat Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • ½ cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • ½ cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup light sour cream

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure the crust will be perfectly crispy.
  2. Step 2: In a skillet over medium heat, add the uncooked ground turkey. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the turkey, add the water, and cook until the turkey is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the chopped green chiles and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat.
  3. Step 3: On a baking sheet, lay out the Flatout flatbread pizza crust. Spread the fat-free refried beans evenly across the surface, creating a delicious base.
  4. Step 4: Layer the cooked ground turkey mixture evenly over the refried beans.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the reduced-fat Mexican blend shredded cheese generously over the turkey layer.
  6. Step 6: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
  7. Step 7: Once out of the oven, top with shredded iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and drizzle with light sour cream.
  8. Step 8: Slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground turkey with plant-based crumbles.
  • Customize your toppings with jalapeños or avocado for extra flair!
