Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey (raw preferred)
  • 1/2 teaspoon real vanilla extract
  • 1 banana peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup raspberries (fresh)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut (shredded, unsweetened)

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar or container with a lid
  • Spoon or spatula

Method

Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the old-fashioned oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  2. Gently fold in the sliced banana and orange juice. The orange juice will add a refreshing citrusy zing that complements the sweetness of the banana beautifully.
  3. Add the fresh raspberries and shredded coconut to the mixture. Stir carefully to avoid crushing the berries while ensuring everything is evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer your oatmeal mixture into a jar or container with a lid. Seal it tightly and place it in the refrigerator overnight. This allows the oats to absorb the liquids and flavors.
  5. In the morning, give the oatmeal a good stir. You can add a splash of almond milk if it’s too thick for your liking. Top with extra banana slices and raspberries if desired, and enjoy your delightful Refrigerator Oatmeal with Bananas and Berries!

Notes

  • Always use an airtight container to maintain freshness.
  • Add fresh fruit just before serving to keep it vibrant.
  • To reheat, warm in the microwave for 30-60 seconds, adding almond milk if needed.
