  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, adds brightness.
  • 1 pinch salt enhances all the flavors.
  • 5 slices American cheddar cheese for a creamy texture.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese fresh shredded, melts beautifully.

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter Mixture - In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, green onions, half of the parsley, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Step 3: Cut the Sourdough Loaf - Make deep cuts in the loaf both horizontally and vertically, without cutting through the bottom.
  4. Step 4: Stuff the Loaf - Pull apart the bread pieces and brush the garlic butter mixture into the cuts.
  5. Step 5: Add the Cheese - Place cheddar slices in between the cuts and sprinkle mozzarella over the top.
  6. Step 6: Bake the Bread - Wrap in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Garnish and Serve - Sprinkle remaining parsley on top after baking and allow to cool slightly before serving.
