Ingredients

  • 2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 tablespoons butter melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped Lay's Wavy Original Potato Chips
  • 1/4 cup additional chopped potato chips for the top of the blondies
  • Sea salt for sprinkling on top of blondies

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • Baking pan
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sea salt, and baking soda.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until well combined. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the chopped potato chips using a spatula.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle the additional chopped potato chips on top.
  8. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Once baked, allow the blondies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs for better blending.
  • Consider browning the butter for a richer flavor.
  • Don’t skip the sprinkle of sea salt on top!
  • Let the blondies sit for a day for enhanced flavor.
