Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Rinse the cod fillets under cold water and pat them dry. Arrange them in a lightly greased baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, parsley, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the top of each cod fillet evenly.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and the topping is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let sit for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
