  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Panko Bread Crumbs

  • 1 large Fresh Lemon Zest grated

Equipment

  • Large Frying Pan
  • Meat mallet or rolling pin
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spatula
  • Grater

Method

Directions
  1. Start by placing your chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, gently pound the chicken to an even thickness, about 1 inch.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and ground black pepper. Rub the chicken with the 1 teaspoon of olive oil, then coat it evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  3. In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and freshly grated lemon zest. Make sure the zest is evenly distributed throughout the breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge the seasoned chicken in the panko mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well.
  5. In a large frying pan, heat the 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
