  • 2 tails Lobster fresh or frozen (thawed)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter divided for serving and cooking
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 cup Water to create steam

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Lobster Tails - Cut the top of the lobster shells lengthwise, stopping just before the tail.
  2. Step 2: Mix the Seasonings - Combine salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl.
  3. Step 3: Add Water to the Instant Pot - Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  4. Step 4: Place the Trivet - Insert the trivet into the Instant Pot above the water level.
  5. Step 5: Position the Lobster Tails - Place the lobster tails on the trivet, shell side down.
  6. Step 6: Add Butter and Seasonings - Drizzle melted butter over the tails and sprinkle with the seasoning mixture.
  7. Step 7: Seal and Cook - Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
  8. Step 8: Quick Release - After cooking, perform a quick release of steam by turning the valve to venting.
  9. Step 9: Serve and Enjoy - Carefully remove the lobster tails and serve with melted butter.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free option, substitute olive oil or vegan butter.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
