  • ½ teaspoon baking soda Works alongside baking powder for a fluffy cookie.
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Sweetness is key!
  • 1 large egg Binds the ingredients together.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For that classic cookie flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract Optional, but it adds a lovely depth of flavor.
  • ½ cup sour cream Keeps the cookies moist.
For the Frosting:
  • 1 cup salted butter or unsalted plus 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar The base of your frosting.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor in the frosting.
  • 2 tablespoons milk To achieve the desired consistency for the frosting.
  • Pink food coloring Optional, for a fun pop of color.
  • Rainbow sprinkles Optional, to decorate your cookies.
