  • 16 oz String Cheese Sticks mozzarella and cheddar blend
  • 2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs plain or regular Italian
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Herbs Seasoning adds herby flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder enhances flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper for spice
  • 1 large Egg acts as a binder
  • 1 cup Buttermilk room temperature

Method
 

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Cheese - Cut the string cheese sticks in half, creating 32 pieces.
  2. Step 2: Set Up Breading Station - In one bowl, combine the buttermilk and egg, whisk until smooth. In another bowl, mix the panko, herbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Bread the Cheese Sticks - Dip each cheese stick in the buttermilk mixture, then roll in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Optionally, double-dip for extra crunch.
  4. Step 4: Heat the Oil - Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or heavy pot.
  5. Step 5: Fry the Cheese Sticks - Fry the breaded cheese sticks for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on a wire rack.
