Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Kabobs:
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-Garlic Paste (or 1 tablespoon minced ginger + 1 tablespoon minced garlic)
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (cut into large bite-sized chunks)
For the Masala Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1 unit jalapeƱo pepper (minced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream
  • to taste Minced fresh cilantro (for garnish)
For the Garlic Naan:
  • 1 small pizza dough
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  1. Step 1: Marinate the Chicken
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and kosher salt. Whisk until well blended. Add the chicken chunks and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Masala Sauce
    In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil.
