Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter avoid natural varieties
  • 1/4 cup milk adjust for consistency
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. In your mixing bowl, add the room-temperature butter. Using your electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until it’s smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Next, incorporate the creamy peanut butter into the butter mixture. Beat together until fully combined and fluffy, about another 2 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud. Once incorporated, increase the speed to medium and mix until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  4. Pour in the milk gradually, mixing until you reach your desired consistency. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk; if it’s too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
  5. Give your frosting a taste and adjust the sweetness or peanut butter flavor as needed. You can add a pinch of salt if you want to enhance the flavors even more.
  6. Now that your Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting is ready, use it to frost your favorite cakes, cupcakes, or even indulge with a spoonful!

Notes

  • Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
