Ingredients
  

  • 12 tablespoons Butter melted, cooled until warm
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 4 tablespoons Butter room temperature (for frosting)
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for frosting
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder for frosting
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Milk for frosting
  • Rainbow Sprinkles for decoration

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  2. Step 2: Grease your baking pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  4. Step 4: Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  5. Step 5: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Step 7: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Step 8: Prepare the frosting by beating together butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Step 9: Once cooled, frost the cookie cake and add sprinkles for decoration.

Notes

  • For a gooey center, bake for a shorter time.
