Ingredients
  

For the Sliders:
  • 3 large boneless chicken breasts (can use frozen)
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (24-oz)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 pieces slider buns
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - If using frozen chicken breasts, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or follow your preferred method of defrosting. Once thawed, slice the chicken breasts into thin cutlets for quicker cooking.
  2. Step 2: Cook the Chicken - In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  3. Step 3: Add Flavor - Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Then, pour in the spaghetti sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
  4. Step 4: Assemble the Sliders - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, place the bottom halves of the slider buns. Layer the cooked chicken on top, spooning some of the sauce mixture over each piece. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the chicken, and top with the other half of the slider buns.
  5. Step 5: Prepare the Butter Mixture - In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture generously over the top of the slider buns, then sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese for an added touch of flavor.
  6. Step 6: Bake - Cover the baking dish with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing before cooking.
  • These sliders can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Try using different cheeses like provolone or cheddar for a twist!
