  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 scoop vanilla or coffee ice cream optional, for serving

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Prepare the pie crust by rolling out a homemade crust or fitting a store-bought one into the dish.
  3. Step 3: Melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  4. Step 4: Whisk in the granulated and dark brown sugars, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Step 5: Whisk together the salt and flour in a separate bowl, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Step 7: Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
  8. Step 8: Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  9. Step 9: Cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving warm with ice cream.
