Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup evaporated milk
  • 1 12-ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 7-ounce jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Heavy-bottomed saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • 9x9 inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Line your 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper. This will help you easily lift the fudge out once it’s set.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, unsalted butter, and evaporated milk. Place it over medium heat and stir constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  3. Once boiling, continue to cook for 4-5 minutes while stirring constantly. This step is crucial for achieving that perfect fudge consistency.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the semisweet chocolate chips. Keep stirring until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Next, add the marshmallow creme, chopped walnuts, and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate mixture. Stir well until everything is combined and the fudge is shiny and smooth.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into your prepared baking pan. Spread it evenly and smooth out the top with a spatula. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours, or until it is set.
  7. Once your fudge is fully set, lift it out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut it into squares and indulge in the deliciousness of your Best Ever Fantasy Fudge!

Notes

  • Stir constantly while boiling to prevent burning.
  • If fudge doesn’t set properly, reheat and add a bit more evaporated milk.
  • Customize with toppings like sprinkles or chocolate sauce.
