Ingredients

  • 1 15.25-ounce package Berry Burst Ice Cream Oreos crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 16 ounces white or dark candy melts for coating
  • Festive sprinkles for decoration

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Cookie scoop or spoon
  • Baking Sheet
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Fork

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Berry Burst Ice Cream Oreos and softened cream cheese. Use a spatula or your hands to mix until fully combined. The mixture should be smooth and moldable.
  2. Scoop out a tablespoon of the Oreo mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all the mixture is used up. You should have about 20-25 cookie balls, depending on the size.
  3. Place the baking sheet with the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, allowing them to firm up. This step is crucial for ensuring they hold their shape when dipped in the candy melts.
  4. While the cookie balls chill, melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted. Ensure you do not overheat the candy melts, as they can burn easily.
  5. Once the cookie balls are firm, remove them from the refrigerator. Using a fork, dip each cookie ball into the melted candy, ensuring they are fully coated. Tap the fork gently against the bowl to remove excess coating.
  6. Before the coating sets, sprinkle some festive sprinkles on top of each cookie ball for a fun touch. This not only adds color but also enhances the visual appeal of your Berry Oreo Cookie Balls.
  7. Return the coated cookie balls to the baking sheet and let them sit until the candy coating sets.
