  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt Enhances the flavor; adjust to taste.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife or pizza cutter
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring Spoons

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Tortillas - Start by stacking the corn tortillas on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice them into quarters to create triangle-shaped chips.
  2. Step 2: Season the Chips - In a mixing bowl, combine the cut tortilla pieces with the extra-virgin olive oil and fine sea salt. Toss until the tortillas are evenly coated.
  3. Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) to ensure the chips start cooking immediately.
  4. Step 4: Air Fry the Chips - Place a single layer of the tortilla chips in the air fryer basket. Air fry the chips for about 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. Step 5: Cool and Serve - Once the chips are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, allow the chips to air dry for 10 minutes after seasoning before cooking.
  • Feel free to experiment with different spices for unique flavor profiles.
  • For a fun twist, try using flavored tortillas such as spinach or tomato basil for added color and taste.
