  • 1/4 cup parsley finely chopped

  1. Begin by rinsing the scallops under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. This step is crucial to ensure they sear nicely in the air fryer and do not steam.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the scallops with salt and pepper. Toss gently to coat each scallop evenly with the seasoning.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating ensures that the scallops start cooking immediately and develop a lovely crust.
  4. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and brush it over the scallops. This will add a delicious buttery flavor and help them crisp up.
  5. Place the scallops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Be sure not to overcrowd them, as this can prevent even cooking. Air fry the scallops for about 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once the scallops are done, remove them from the air fryer and place them on a serving plate. Drizzle with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve with lemon slices on the side for a refreshing finish.

  • For a spicy twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning.
