Ingredients

For the Potato Cubes:
  • 4 medium potatoes russet, Yukon Gold, or red potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons oil extra virgin olive oil, canola oil, or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula or tongs

Method

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes. Wash the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Peel them if you prefer, though leaving the skins on can add extra texture and nutrients.
  2. Step 2: Dice the Potatoes. Cut the potatoes into even cubes, about 1-inch in size.
  3. Step 3: Season the Potatoes. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes with the oil, kosher salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Step 4: Preheat the Air Fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Air Fry the Potatoes. Place the seasoned potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Step 6: Check for Doneness. Check the potato cubes for doneness; they should be golden brown and crispy. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes if needed.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy. Carefully remove the potato cubes from the air fryer and serve them hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the diced potatoes in water for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Try different seasonings for unique flavors.
  • These potato cubes can be frozen for later use; just reheat in the air fryer.
