Start by turning your Instant Pot to the sauté function. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and let it heat up. Once hot, add 1 pound of lean ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break up the beef, cooking until it is browned and no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
To the browned beef, sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Stir well to combine and let the seasonings cook for about 1 minute.
Next, add the uncooked spaghetti noodles to the pot. It’s important to break the noodles in half to ensure they fit. Pour in the 2 jars of marinara sauce and then add 3 cups of water. Do not stir; simply layer the ingredients as they are.
Close the lid of the Instant Pot and ensure the valve is set to sealing. Select the manual or pressure cook function and set the timer for 8 minutes. The Instant Pot will take a few minutes to come to pressure before the cooking time begins.
Once the cooking time is complete, carefully perform a quick release by turning the valve to venting. Once the pressure has fully released, open the lid and give everything a good stir. The spaghetti should be perfectly cooked and coated in the marinara sauce. Serve hot and enjoy!
